Fernandez Bay Village is located just north of the settlement of New Bight in Cat Island.
The half moon shaped beach at Fernandez Bay Village is about a mile long and is on the leeward side of Cat Island facing Exuma Sound. This shot is of the northern half of the beach and was taken in the early morning. Even if you are not staying at Fernandez Bay Village, it is worth a visit. You can have breakfast on the patio overlooking the beach and enjoy the view. It is a great way to start the day.
I had hoped to take some sunset shots from this location but I ran out of time and didn’t make it back. A good reason to plan another trip!
